Italian Wines (2 Nights)
TBA (Fall, 2010)
In this two-night course, we will explore wines from renowned Italian wine regions such as Tuscany and Piedmont. You will also learn about and taste wines from lesser-known regions such as Fruili, Sicily, and Apulia. A wine industry routed in tradition, you will learn about the exciting changes taking place in Italy today. Course includes a tasting of six wines per class.
Fee: $65/person
Location: Liberty Ldoge, 850 Maple Drive
Note: If you have taken classes before, you may notice a lighter than usual schedule this winter. This is due to the changes in lead time required to obtain permits for classes from the NYS Liquor Authority. Now that the "red tape" has been worked through, rest assured there will be a full schedule of classes in Fall, 2010! (Rochester Wine School does not offer classes in the summer, but we do team up with local venues to offer educational wine tastings--visit our calendar in the spring for listings.)
