Rochester Wine School was started by Andrea Bornheim with the belief that learning about wine should be fun and not intimidating.  When teaching about a wine, Andrea's anecdotes of her world travels give guests a taste of the region's culture, as well as the wine in the glass.  She has been studying wine for professional and personal interest for 14 years.  She has studied wine in the Burgundy, Bordeaux, and Alsace regions of France, as well as Australia and Switzerland.  Andrea is a member of the Society of Wine Educators and obtained professional certification through the Parker-Zraly Wine Certificatio n Program.

Andrea and Rochester Wine School have been featured in Rochester Magazine, Democrat & Chronicle, Rochester Business Journal, Figerlakeswine.com, herRochester.com and on local radio stations 98 PXY, 92.5 WBEE, 98.9 The Buzz, and 96.5 CMF.

Andrea is active in the Rochester community.  She is a member of Women for Winesense and Rochester Women's Network (Serving as RWN's Wine & Wisdom Group Chair). She also volunteers for the American Cancer Society Gala Committee, as a Girl Scout Leader, and is a regular volunteer in her children's schools.
